Millions of Americans oppose SOPA and PIPA because these bills would censor the Internet and slow economic growth in the U.S.
Two bills before Congress, known as the Protect IP Act (PIPA) in the Senate and the Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA) in the House, would censor the Web and impose harmful regulations on American business. Millions of Internet users and entrepreneurs already oppose SOPA and PIPA.
The Senate will begin voting on January 24th. Please let them know how you feel. Sign this petition urging Congress to vote NO on PIPA and SOPA before it is too late.

Seems our congress & Obama would have us be like other countries where people cannot decide for themselves what to read & say, and cannot decide for themselves how to live their lives. I am against this censorship of the internet & facebook, etc. I don’t agree with all that is said on those outlets, but I am all for the rights of people to say what is on their minds and act according to how their own conscience predicts without the interference of the government. Happy to be able to speak my thoughts according to my conscience.
Protect IP Act is likely to stop the world-wide-web which is the one genuine medium for freedom of expression.
