This is to select all of your friends to invite them to a Facebook group, fan page or event.

Your friend groups on Facebook are different than the action groups that I am speaking of. Those are groups of your friends within your friend list. You can send a message to a set of grouped friends by typing the name of that group into the ‘to’ box of the message unless that group contains over 20 friends. You can only message up to 20 friends at a time from your Facebook profile.

On the other hand, if you create a Facebook Group page, you will then have the ability to ‘Message All Members’ of that group page.

Not sure I understand what you mean. Are you saying this is the way to refer all your friends to a new friend request? I have several separate groups of friends on FB that don’t know each other so wouldn’t necessarily be beneficial to connect them all.

Something I would like to know how to do though on FB in case you know, is pm/email all in a particular group at one time. Is that possible?
